BRIGHTON, MI (WLNS) – A Civil War soldier is being honored with a headstone at a local cemetery. The Brighton Area Historical Society headstone restoration team created the headstone for John Sylvan Prosser. Prosser fought in the battle of Spotsylvania on May 12, 1864 where he was wounded and died the next day in a field hospital. Man arrested after standoff in Sunfield

SUNFIELD, MI (WLNS) – What started as a domestic violence situation turned into a standoff Monday afternoon. Police were called to a home in the 100 block of First Street in Sunfield. US-127 north exit to Trowbridge Road back open

EAST LANSING, MI (WLNS) – An accident shutdown the exit ramp from US-127 north to Trowbridge Road for about an hour Monday afternoon. It happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday along US-127.
