Woman Charged In Fatal Valentine’s Day Stabbing

JACKSON, MI (WLNS) – On Valentine’s Day Gregory Stack was stabbed to death in his home in the 800 block of Steward Ave. in Jackson.
His accused killer and girlfriend made her first appearance in court on Friday.
“Ms. Dixon-Bey in this file we have a complaint that states on or about February 14th of this year in the city of Jackson that you did murder Gregory Stack,” said Magistrate Bishop.
Dawn Dixon-Bey was charged with open murder.
Roger Horsch, a long-time friend of stack said he suspected her all along.
“Immediately everyone I think, as far as I, but my, I though Dawn, immediately, I think she snapped,” said Roger Horsch, friend of Gregory Stack.
Jackson County Assistant Prosecutor Christopher Dickerson said in court this wasn’t the first time she had stabbed Stack and after his murder he had reason to believe Dixon-Bey would flee.
“We believe this is the third if not the fourth time that she has actually stabbed this victim, we also have reason to believe that she has family that lives outside of the state that have already been contacted to try to leave and go out of state,” said Christopher Dickerson, Jackson County Assistant Prosecutor.
For Horsche, this was a hard day. But most of all, he hopes justice will be served.
“I know that the court system that she’s finally in and caught it will show the truth and give a little bit of peace to me myself all of their friends and especially their family.”
Dixon-Bey will be held without bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for March. | www.MichiNEWS.com | #Michigan #News #MichiNews
